Rally Returns To Pomeroy
If it seems like it wasn't that long ago when a rally was held in Pomeroy, that's because it wasn't. The Olympus Rally paid an unexpected visit here in the spring. But that was the spring. How could you miss going there in the fall?

In the spring, the roads can be soft from melting snow. In the fall, the roads are hard packed from sitting under the sun all summer long. In the spring, you have to worry about accidentlly taking out the crops in the field next to the stage roads. In the fall, the harvest is a few weeks before the rally, so most of the valuable crops are gone. Besides, more roads are available for the rally to use in the fall.

Sure, it is a long tow from west of the Cascades (where most of the Northwest teams are based), but the roads are smooth so, as long as you stay on the road, you won't break your car. And the people of Pomeroy are friendly. And fuel is less expensive on the eastern side of the Cascades.

Why wouldn't you be there?

Still Don't Know Where Pomeroy Is?
Pomeroy is located in the southeast corner of Washington state, between Walla Walla and Clarkston/Lewiston. The area is largely argicultural with wheat and barley as the main crops. The Snake River and Palouse Falls are located just to the north of town. Pomeroy is a friendly small town in the middle of beautiful wide-open country side. Pomeroy Map
